Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa, has reported strong growth in revenue and passenger traffic for the current fiscal year.
The airline was able to resume flights to previously cancelled destinations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, add seven new destinations to the flight schedule, and introduce twelve new passenger planes.
The airline generated USD 6.1 billion in revenue and transported 13.7 million passengers. Two planes were converted from passenger to cargo planes using the airline's maintenance and engineering center. These planes have since started cargo service operations.
