Ethiopian-Italian Forum Held in Rome

The Ethio-Italian Trade and Investment Forum expected to enhance bilateral business ties between Ethiopia and Italy was held last week in Rome according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was attended by more than 150 Italian and over 30 Ethiopian businesses noted the press release by the MoFA.

The opportunities that reside in the many unexploited natural resources of Ethiopia and the country's conducive investment and foreign trade policy were promoted by government officials attending the event.

Ethiopia and Italy have long standing and established relationships in all sectors noted Hailemariam Desalegn, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of Ethiopia speaking at the opening of the Forum.

The forum is expected to help the development of bilateral cooperation between the Ethiopia and Italy in the areas of investment and trade said Hailemairam.

The forum is an opportunity to attract Italian investors to Ethiopia he said.

In related news , Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Hailemariam held talks with his Italian counterpart Giulio Maria Terzi di Sant'Agata on ways to enhance trade relations between the countries.
