A high-powered trade mission from Saudi Arabia, led by the country’s Chamber of Commerce President, is in Ethiopia for a two-day investment forum which is currently underway in Addis Ababa.

Ethiopian officials, including Minister Fitsum Assefa, welcomed the delegation of 79 investors. Fitsum highlighted economic reforms and a welcoming business environment for foreign investment.

Discussions focused on mutual interest areas, with Saudi Arabia expressing interest in Ethiopia's resources and sectors such as agriculture. Both sides stressed strengthening trade and investment ties, aiming for broader cooperation.

The forum aims to create trade and investment opportunities, while strengthening the economic connection and friendship between the two nations. A planned MoU between business chambers and visits to key sites including industrial parks are expected to solidify this partnership.
