The Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the Addis Ababa City Administration have  entered into an agreement to establish a state-of-the-art startup city.

Both parties have agreed to strengthen their collaboration in constructing a modern startup city, which will encompass various facilities such as workplaces, training centers, an ICT park, talent schools, and other convenient areas. Recent university graduates would also receive support to enter the technology sector, allowing them to apply their knowledge and easily generate wealth.

According to Dr. Bele Mola, Minister of Innovation, the agreement aims to transform wealth-generating ideas into startups, fostering an environment where productive companies can flourish and benefit society as a whole. Mayor Adanech Abebe, on her part, stated that there was significant potential for collaboration and emphasized the need to capitalize on it.
