Addis Ababa has recently become a member of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), a global organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of tourism in cities. Led by Deputy Mayor Jantirar Abay, a delegation from Addis Ababa is currently attended the WTCF's global conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development 2023 in Beijing, China.

During the conference, Deputy Mayor Abay was presented with the WTCF membership certificate by the organization's leaders. In his remarks, he highlighted the immense potential of Addis Ababa as a vibrant tourist destination and emphasized the city's ongoing efforts to enhance and expand its tourism sector.

Established in Beijing in 2012, the WTCF boasts a membership of over 240 cities from across the globe. The organization offers a wide range of services to its members, including training programs, marketing support, and research initiatives.
