The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Poland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the "Tax Solidarity Programme" support. The MoU was signed by Semereta Sewasew, Minister of State for Finance, and Mr. Przemysław Bobak, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ethiopia.

The Programme is expected to help Ethiopia improve its tax administration system and increase tax revenue. It is also expected to strengthen the cooperation between Ethiopia and Poland in the field of taxation. It will be carried out by the Centre for Tax Solidarity for the next three years from the date of signature and provide training, webinars, and study visits to officials from the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Revenues of Ethiopia. The program will cover topics such as VAT Administration and Reform, Digitalization of Tax Administration, Excise Tax Execution and Administration, Property Tax and Administration, and other relevant areas that the two countries identify.
