Debre Birhan city announced that it was working to enable 24 industries start production within the second half of the current fiscal year. The city made the same announcement in November last year.

Debre Birhan licensed 188 investors who have a collective capital of Birr 24 billion in the past months. It was also able to earn USD 12,529,000 from the export of manufactured goods which were obtained from six companies.

The city plans to attract and license 330 investors in the 2022/2023 fiscal year. It has succeeded in attracting 120 investors and a capital of Birr 15 billion during the first quarter of the fiscal year alone. The city managed to give permits for investors who collectively registered Birr 41 billion capital in the 2021/2022 fiscal year.
