Ethiopia and Djibouti agreed to revise the prices of agricultural products, mainly fruits and vegetables. The two countries reached an agreement to readjust the prices of the products after forty years in a joint technical committee meeting held between January 15 and 16.
The meeting which was co-chaired by Kassahun Gofe, State Minister of Trade and Regional Integration and Ali Daoud, Secretary General of Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Djibouti, also discussed khat quotas and border trade agreement.
The technical committee meeting followed the 16th Ethio-Djibouti Joint Ministerial Meeting which was held in Addis Ababa in October last year. The Ministerial meeting discussed political, economic, infrastructure, and logistics cooperation between Ethiopia and Djibouti.
