China’s leading tractor manufacturer, YTO-CAMAC, laid a foundation stone in Mojo town to construct a factory which is capable of producing 10,000 tractors annually.
The company’s International Director, Mr. Liu Pi, vowed to work in coordination with Ethio-Engineering Group to modernize Ethiopia’s agriculture. The company is expected to become operational in 2015 E.C.
YTO and Ethio-Engineering Group (EEG) inked an MoU in August this year for strategic partnership in transferring technology and knowledge in production and localization of agricultural tractors, implements, and combine harvesters.
Ethio-Engineering Group (EEG) is a Governmental business enterprise re-established in September 2020 under the FDRE Council of Ministers' Regulation No. 475/2020. EEG is engaged in manufacturing and trading of automotive products, agricultural machineries, construction machineries, power and electronics equipment, metal and metal products, and plastic and polymer products.
