Ethiopia: A New Industrial Park to be Built in Addis

Addis Ababa City Administration signed an agreement with two construction contractors called KMCG and TNT to build a small and mid-level industrial park at a cost of Birr 7.7 billion. The project will construct 21 manufacturing sheds with different floors and 400 suppliers and production shops. 

The Industrial park is expected to create jobs for twenty thousand citizens. It will attract companies that are engaged in agro-processing, textile and apparel, leather and leather products, construction, plastics and chemicals manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, and production of materials for pharmaceuticals manufacturing. 

According to Adanech Abiebie, the Mayor of Addis Ababa, the industrial park will help in the expansion of industries. She also stated that the industrial park would help in producing productive citizens who were advanced in the use of technology.
