Coca-Cola launched its fifth factory which was constructed with USD 100 million in Sebeta town, 19 kilometers from Addis Ababa. The factory has a capacity of producing 100 million bottles of beverage per year.

The inaugural ceremony saw the participation of Government officials including the Chief Administrator of Oromia Region, Shimels Abdisa and Industry Minister, Melaku Alebel.

The company’s Managing Director, Daryl Alan Wilson, noted that Coca-Cola had invested more than USD 300 million over the past five years. It was also learned that the company had created job opportunities for more than 30,000 Ethiopians in the last 62 years.
