Ethiopia's ninth national cooperative unions' exhibition and bazaar is underway at the Addis Ababa Exhibition center, themed "Cooperative Marketing for Peace and Stable Market."
The exhibition and bazaar, it has been learned, aims to create direct and strong market linkages between cooperatives.
The exhibition and bazaar will have an important role to play in giving cooperative unions better access to market, as well as to network among themselves, Darebo Busere, an representative of the Commissioner of Cooperative Works, remarked.
Adem Nuru, Head of Addis Ababa's Trade Bureau, present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition and bazaar, said cooperative unions will be selling agricultural products at the bazaar with a discount of 20 percent and higher.
150 cooperative unions are taking part in the exhibition and bazaar. Opened on February 10, the exhibition and bazaar will remain open until Monday, February 14, 2022.
