The Addis Ababa City Hall has been renovated after 57 years at a cost of 2.2 billion birr, while maintaining its original design and looks.
The building, Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie said, is an invaluable heritage, as well as a cross-generational resource for the city.
The city hall houses daycare center, special spaces for the disabled, a library, training and research halls, clinic, theatre hall, meeting halls, cafeterias for staff and the general public, offices that provide additional services, ample parking space, green spaces, as well as city-farming slots.
