Hibir Tower, Hibret Bank's headquarters, a 37-storey building built at a cost of 2.8 billion birr, located in the financial district of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has been inaugurated.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were Sahle-Work Zewde, Ethiopia's President, Yinager Dessie (PhD), Governor of Ethiopia's Central Bank, as well as other government officials.
Hibret's new building rests on 3,300m2 of land, and has taken six years to complete, at a cost of 2.8 billion birr.
Established in September 1998, Hibret Bank (United Bank of Ethiopia) has 1.42 million customers, and over 400 branches across Ethiopia.
The previous year, Hibret Bank has registered a profit of 1.44 billion birr.
