eBiz Online Solution's Kefta Project and call center were visited by delegates from the Embassies of Sweden and the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ethiopia, the European Union Mission to Ethiopia on Thursday 8 April 2021. The visit was organized by Kefta's partner - SNV and the LI-WAY team.
The Kefta Project, being implemented through Kefta.2merkato.com as its main portal, was selected as one of the interventions SNV/LI-WAY partners with to be visited by the delegates.
His Excellency Mr. Hans Henric Lundquist, Ambassador of Sweden to Ethiopia, and His Excellency Mr. Thijs Woudstra, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ethiopia, as well as other team members from the two embassies and the EU Mission to Ethiopia, were present during the visit to hear the presentation regarding the Kefta project.
The Kefta Project is an access-to-Information (A2I) project that aims to empower Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE's) by helping them to easily access tender/bid information and market information, as well as business listings so they are more readily reachable. Close to 3000 SME's are accessing 2merkato Tenders through the project and have their profiles posted on 2merkato's B2B platform, 2merkato Construction platform (those who engaged in the construction sector), and eBiz's newest B2C platform - Megbia.
Moreover, Kefta has availed information on regulatory requirements, training videos on how to use the services, business news relevant to MSE's and more. The Kefta team has presented the project to the delegation and showcased the call center.
