A joint trade and investment forum, with aims to further boost trade and investment flow, was held between Canadian business delegation and their Ethiopian counterparts in Addis Ababa yesterday.
Mahlet Hailu (Ambassador), Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, speaking during the event, commended the strong and growing bilateral relations between the two countries. She also noted that there is a potential between the two countries to further strengthen relations through active engagements in the economic sectors.
Cindie-Eve Bourassa, Director of Free Trade Agreement Promotion Division, Global Affairs Canada, speaking on behalf of the Canadian delegation, said her country is working to further enhance trade, investment and tourism relations with Ethiopia.
The Canadian business delegation is scheduled to hold business-to-business meetings with the Ethiopian business community.
