Taf Oil's Largest Aviation Oil Depot in Ethiopia Inaugurated

taf-oil-logoTAF Oil PLC inaugurated the largest aviation depot facility in Ethiopia this week. The semi-automatic Jet-A1 fuel storage and filling facility constructed at Bole International Airport, in Addis Ababa.

Built at a cost of over $14 million (450 million Birr), the facility is said to fulfill international standards and specifications set by IATA.

Teka Gebreyesus, Ethiopia's State Minister of Trade and Industry, speaking at the inauguration ceremony, said the facility will create extra capacity for the aviation industry in Ethiopia. He further reaffirmed his ministry's support to all engaged in the industry, to go hand-in-hand with Ethiopia's ambitions in aviation.

Tinsae Aklilu, Taf Oil's President, pointed out the construction of the aviation depot took over two years to complete. 

“We are ready to provide quality service both for Ethiopian Airlines and for international airlines which pass via Bole International Airport,” he said.

This new Taf Oil Aviation depot can store up to 6,000 liters of fuel and operates 24/7.
