Ethiopia’s President, Mulatu Teshome, on Saturday, June 14, 2014 inaugurated newly built houses which were built by Sunshine Construction Plc at CMC. Addis Ababa City Mayor Diriba Kuma also inaugurated real estate developed around Bole Beshale by the same company.

The complexes of both sites consist a total number of 543 apartments and modern villa houses.

During the inaugural ceremony Mulatu assured the government’s support for what he called “genuine and successful local real estate developers”. He added Sunshine Investment Group
has been playing a crucial role in solving the ever growing housing demand by building a number of housing complexes at different areas of the cities.

Diriba also admired efforts of Sunshine to build modern housing complexes which give Addis a beauty and makes it a modern city. He also called onto local real estate developers to use modern latest building technologies and the residents to make proper use of the infrastructure facilities.

The Mayor also warned real estate developers who took land and did not commence construction will face measures.

Samuel Taffese, Sunshine’s CEO, on his part noted his company has been engaged in hotel tourism, business, road construction and the like. He added his construction company is a
first class contractor in Ethiopia.

For its 30th year anniversary, Sunshine awarded 26 of its hard working, exemplary and long serving employees the opportunity to own houses paying only 30 percent of the price now.The company is going to cover 40 percent and the rest 30 percent is extended to them as a long term loan.
