MEC Signs Agreement with Ethiopian Firm

Norwegian company, MEC AS, Magnetic Emission Control, engaged in emissions reduction and fuel efficiency technology, signed a dealer contract with QOPH Engineering Enterprise in Ethiopia.

The agreement establishes that QOPH will engage in long haul tracking concerns, construction equipment, transport and earth moving.

The deal is part of MEC plans to expand into the Middle Eastern and African Region according to Bjorn Skjervold, Chief Exceutive Officer of MEC.

Emerging markets which need energy to grow economically are attracted to MEC technology and the company plans to assist in reaching these objective in a financially competitive and environmentally conscious manner he noted.

MEC AS is engaged in optimizing combustion processes to save fuel money and environmental costs. The company expects to market its patented technology to increase torque, reduce fuel consumption and emissions in the region.

The technology results in less fuel burnt and less Co2 and soot particles released into the atmosphere over the same distance explained Skjervold.

Emissions are reduced by an average of 50-80 percent which translates to less financial expenditure towards maintenance and longer engine utilization periods he added.

MEC is connected to a various companies in a range of sectors including marine and land transportation, asphalt and cement production, gas turbines, coal burning industries and open flare oil field production.
