The history of Milki’s dates back to 2012G.C with the historic opening of one of the famous Bar & Restaurant brands in Addis Ababa called Sober Bar & Restaurant P.L.C located in the Cherkos area.

Sober Bar & Restaurant known for its best location and variety of dishes was rebranded in 2022 G.C, and all its management, knowledge, and experience transferred to Milki’s Bar & Restaurant and all its management, knowledge, and experience transferred to Milki’s Bar & Restaurant.

Milki’s established in 2022 G.C. as a sole proprietorship by Ato Tesfaye Adugna Dabi, took over the management and experience of the old Sober Bar & Restaurant and quickly expanded it into a food, beverage, catering, and room service as well as entertainment, lifestyle, and hospitality outlet with over 100 product varieties at a brand new location.

Milki’s mainly focuses on creating an ambiance where our customers will be able to discover the undiscovered and offer market-unavailable unique Ethiopian favors and experiences, that are only limited to specific areas, cultures, social backgrounds, and home consumptions in the form of foods, drinks, music, entertainment, hospitality and lifestyle.

While doing these, we first perform research for such favors all around Ethiopia, and when we discover one, we will study it deeply, modify and modernize it in the way it fits the market and satisfies customer demand, and then we will
cater it for our customers and let them enjoy the experience of discovering such favor which they undiscovered it somewhere else on the market.

These brand strategies of ours are what make us different and unique.

To men one out of such many favors, we cater to our customers is “Borena Tibs”; which is our brand special cuisine with a unique flavor that used to be previously undiscovered and market unavailable being limited only to the Borena zone and it neighborhood areas of southern Ethiopia.

At Milki’s, we also modify, modernize, and sell various Ethiopian traditional foods such as “Special Kitfo” and Raw meat, as well as various drink types such as bottled liquors, Wine, cold beverages, and Special Ethiopian custom-made (In-House) traditional beverages such as “Tej” and “Habesha Areqe”; which are our brand special drink favors.

In addition to these, we provide our customers with room services, food Catering and Delivery services, live music, and fabulous entertainment options as well as an experience of multiple lifestyle and event packages at our multi-purpose suited venue with optimum hospitality.

In the long term, the company aspires to build one of the leading Hotel villages in Eastern Africa that sponsors and promotes Ethiopian traditional food, drinks, music, culture, lifestyle, and guest-welcoming hospitality to the rest of the world.

COMPANY STRATEGIC GOALS

      • Create a chain of Milki’s food, drink, catering service, room service, entertainment, lifestyle, event, and hospitality outlets across Addis Ababa and regions so that Milki’s become “everyone’s local”.
      • Perform regular research on the undiscovered Ethiopian cultural flavors and experiences all over the country, apply c and ve techniques to modify, modernize, and convert them into market material, and design unique methods to produce them by own resource, present them with a ra ve decor on and serve them entertainingly to customers.
      • Discover at least one new unique previously undiscovered flavor experience or product every three months and introduce it to the market.
      • To be self-sufficient in supplying our restaurant with all major agricultural raw materials from our own farm, as well as training and equipping our staff with the industry skills and ethics using our own hotel and tourism consultancy in te to ensure the quality of products and customer services.
      • Create a unique and multi-purpose venue with a luxurious ambiance that is visually attractive to customers, suitable to fast and efficient options, and able to host a variety of events and lifestyle packages.

The management strongly believes that the main driver behind the success factor of Milki’s is and will be the choice of location of the current as well as the future branches.

While we select a location, the location is carefully selected being primarily located near public transport, a cluster of hotels, private and public organizations, sports and entertainment centers, and busy footprint areas.

The existing, very first and flagship Milki’s branch, built on 500 square meters of privately owned property, has a suitable venue for multi-purpose setup and fortuned spaces for VIP services and a sports bar, with a very large parking spot, is located around Bole Medhanyalem, behind Bole High school, near to Adey Ababa international stadium.

Its neighborhood location to this National Stadium, which is the promising center for various upcoming sports activities and events, alongside its existence at the Bole area; the center for diploma and tourist activities and high demand for entertainment, catering & delivery services, as well as exposure to celebrities and business personnel, gives Milki’s very high competitive advantages.

CUSTOMERS, SUPPLIERS, AND TRADE PARTNERS – The Company has several loyal customers who are local and frequent buyers of the company’s offerings.

The fact that more than ten thousand visitors visited Milki’s during the four-day-long historic grand opening ceremony has widened its customer base.

The business also has a reputation for always having an adequate supply of products and services during every season.

As a result, the company has over 25 different suppliers who deliver raw materials and supplementary products.

To name a few; Shewa Supermarket, Rungo liquor, Diageo, BGI Ethiopia, Heineken Ethiopia, Coca-Cola, and Moha Beverages PLC are regular suppliers of Food ingredients, liquor, beers, and so drinks.

On the other hand, Milki’s has gained more than 30 loyal trade partners regularly consuming our products and services through Catering: FDRE Prime Minister office, Addis Abeba City Administra on Mayor Office and Commercial Bank of Ethiopian are few among them.
