C & E Brothers Steel Factory Plc is a private company established on August 14, 2008, G.C. Starting on July 7, 2014, the company became a joint venture factory for Ethiopia and China’s investors.

C & E Brother’s Steel Factory P.L.C is one of the leading suppliers of Reinforcement bars in Grade 60 and Grade 75 as per the Ethiopian Standard CES 101 and also ASTM A617 for local and foreign countries.

    • Ø Wire rod : 5.5mm to 14mm
    • Ø Quartz or Silica Ramming Mass with different sizes

The new expansion project will be finalized soon and the following products will be produced

Technology utilization

Recent technology with computerized controlling system Programming Logical Control (PLC) is used for the production of the reinforcement bar. Specially use the following technology

• • • Ø Thermo mechanical treatment plant used for upgrading the strength of the ribbed bar
    • Ø Installing substation of automatic power factor corrector with harmonizer. It is used for power stabilization.
    • Ø Using an Alternate current motor which is controlled by a programming logical control (PLC) System has a great advantage in proper stability and utilization of power.
    • Ø Used Automatic rake-type cooling bed with twin channel bar delivery system.
    • Ø Used Automatic finished product packing system

Installation of substation

• • • Ø At present the company has the following eight transformers with a total capacity of 18,100kva.Three with 3500kva
    • Ø Three with 2000kva
    • Ø One with 1600kva
    • Ø After the installation of the substation with a capacity of 50,000 kva the company uses 31,850kva and the remaining will be used after the installation of the additional production line in one year time.

The physical and chemical properties are continuously monitored and tested according to specifications using the universal testing machine, optical emission spectrometer, and other related testing and quality control equipment.

From raw materials to finished goods, ECAE meticulously checks its products for high quality and it has a world-class in-house material testing laboratory.

With this modern technology, we ensure that our plain and deformed bars are manufactured to conform with national and international standards for low, medium, and high-yield strength applications.

Production Capacity

It produces different sizes of reinforcement bar, coiled wire, and wire rods used mainly for the construction industry with different grades.

The factory produces three types of product; Reinforcement bars, and wire rods with an attainable capacity of 572,000 tons per annum.
